Rivers We Travel
Lower Kenai River Fishing Charters
The Lower Kenai River is a large river that has traditionally been more of a powerboat fishing area. It’s become known for its abundant king, sockeye, pink, and silver salmon. Between June and August, millions of sockeye salmon run the river, and Lower Kenai is also known as the home of the largest King Salmon in the world.
Middle Kenai River Fishing Charters
The Middle Kenai River, which starts at Bing’s Landing and ends at Skilak Lake, has become a must-fish section of the river. The watershed holds huge rainbow trout, steelhead (ocean-run), and plenty of bends stocked with salmon. This river section is not drift only; you can use a motor to get around. After floating the upper Kenai River, this can be a fun change of scenery!
Lower/Upper Kasilof River Fishing Charters
The Kasilof River or Ggasilatnu in the Dena’ina language is a river on the western Kenai Peninsula in southern Alaska. It flows northwest to Cook Inlet near Kasilof, and the entire river is cold and has powerful currents. The upper section of the river is very swift and is classified as Class II whitewater. If you’re up for the challenge, it promises an adventure unlike any other!
